The Chinese symbol of wisdom and power is representing the purple Ox silhouette, emerging under the layer of black lacquer that adorns the instrument. The finely engraved design of the animal surrounds the body of the writing instrument, whose attributes are coated in yellow gold. The Ox’s resolute gaze shows its willingness to set itself up as a protector and its determination, an effect accentuated by its massive body and alert stance.

Each writing instrument is made from glossy black polished Chinese lacquer with calligraphic depiction of the Ox in purple. Featuring a hand polished 18 carat gold nib with gold-plated ring engraved with Caran d’Ache and Swiss Made logos. Presented in beautiful wooden gift box coated in glossy Chinese lacquer.
